About 10 Miles From Reading Center
Senco Home Services is headquartered at 1150 Main St in Tewksbury. Drive through Wilmington and you're in Reading in about a quarter of an hour. The town sits close to where I-93 meets Route 128, with Main Street (Route 28) running through the downtown.
Reading was incorporated in 1644, and it's a compact town of about 25,500 people on 9.9 square miles. It's also an old one by local standards: more than a quarter of Reading's homes were built before 1940, and the town has 89 listings on the National Register of Historic Places, from the Common Historic District downtown to the Woburn Street district. Very little of Reading is new construction, so most of the exterior work here means taking care of a house that's already stood for decades.
Before any outside job, two Reading details matter. Re-roofing and re-siding both go through a building permit from the Building Division at Town Hall, 16 Lowell Street (781-942-6613). And if your home is in the West Street local historic district, roofing and siding also need a certificate from the Historic District Commission before that permit can be issued.
