Senco Home Services installs, repairs and replaces seamless aluminum gutters in Lowell, MA, and we've done gutter work in the city. Lowell's buildings are old: census data puts the median at 1942. That usually means gutters that have been patched for decades and fascia boards that have been wet for just as long. We fix both in one visit. For the full rundown of our gutter process, see the main gutter page.
The fascia is the board your gutters hang from. When a gutter overflows, sags or pulls away, water runs behind it and the fascia rots, then the gutter spikes lose their grip and the whole run sags further. On an older house it's common to find fascia and trim painted over more than once with soft wood underneath. We take the gutter down, cut out the rotted fascia and trim, replace it, finish it to match, and hang the new run on solid wood. If you only need the fascia fixed, call anyway; we'll look at it.
Store-bought gutters come in short sections snapped together, and every joint is a future leak. We form each run on site from flat aluminum stock, cut to the exact length of your roofline, so one piece spans the whole side of the building. Seamless aluminum is light, doesn't rust, comes in colors to match your trim, and hangs on hidden hangers for a clean line.
About a quarter of Lowell's housing units are in two-family and three- and four-unit buildings. A taller building means longer downspout runs, and a downspout that dumps a big roof's water next to the foundation causes its own trouble. We size and place downspouts for the building, and route the water away from walls, walkways and the neighbor's driveway.
Not every gutter problem means starting over. Loose hangers, leaking corners and clogged runs are usually fixable. When a run is rusted through or past saving, we replace it, and gutter guards cut down on how often someone has to get up a ladder in the fall. A clogged gutter in a New England winter is a common way an ice dam starts. Get a free estimate or call for a fast look.

One-piece runs formed on site to your building's exact measurements, with no seams along the run.
Sized for the building and placed to move water away from the foundation, walkways and the house next door.
Keep leaves and debris out of the gutters between cleanings.
For older homes and restorations where aluminum isn't the look. Copper develops a patina; wood needs a craftsman's hand. We do both.
Loose hangers, leaks, broken sections and overflow repaired fast, often without replacing the whole run.

A full seamless install or a small repair gets the same care as a roof, because a failed gutter sends water exactly where you don't want it. Our crews are licensed and insured, and we've run jobs out of our Tewksbury shop for seven years.
Our own crews do the gutter work. Senco is based at 1150 Main St in Tewksbury, and Main Street becomes Rogers Street at the Lowell line, about 5 miles and 10 minutes from the shop.
Lowell sits where the Merrimack and Concord rivers meet. The Merrimack crested at a record 68.4 feet at Lowell in March 1936, and in the May 2006 flood the city dropped its Francis Gate for only the third time in 150 years. That's river water, and gutters have nothing to do with it. The everyday problem is smaller: a clogged or undersized gutter dumping a roof's worth of rain beside the foundation in every storm, and that's the one we fix.
Lowell is in the same 50 psf ground-snow-load column as Tewksbury in the state building code. When that snow melts, the water has to go somewhere. A gutter that can't move it backs up, refreezes at the roof edge and starts an ice dam, whether the gutter is new or original to the house.
We work in all eight of Lowell's neighborhoods: the Acre, Back Central, Belvidere, Centralville, Downtown, the Highlands, Pawtucketville and South Lowell. If your gutter job comes with roofing or siding, both need a city building permit from the Division of Development Services at City Hall, 375 Merrimack Street (978-674-4144), and we pull it as part of the job.
Tewksbury is home base, and we cover the cities and towns around it:
One local crew for the whole system: gutters, downspouts, guards and the fascia behind them, with financing if you need it.
Rotted fascia and trim on an older Lowell house replaced before the new gutters go up, so the hangers have solid wood to grip.
Formed on site to fit your Lowell roofline, with no factory-length sections joined along the run.
Sagging sections, loose hangers and leaking corners repaired, often without replacing the whole run.
Downspouts sized and placed for two- and three-family buildings, where more roof means more water at each corner.
Fewer trips up the ladder in the fall, and fewer clogs going into winter.
Pitched, hung and sealed to keep meltwater moving off a Lowell roofline when ice is working against it.

We had an excellent experience with Senco. Chris was amazing! He was professional, patient, explained things clearly and answered all our questions. He always returned our phone inquiries. He and his workers went above and beyond our expectations. His crew replaced our roof in one day. Clean up was great. We also had Senco remove the ice dams prior to having the roof replaced. Once again, Senco's pricing was fair, the crew was hard working and responsive to any concerns we may have had. I highly recommend this company and would use them again.Elaine Levine · Google Review
Senco did many homes in my neighborhood. I recognized their competence, honesty and quality right away and knew I had to have the Senco team on my roof too. Very satisfied with all aspects of the demolition and installation which was quite complex. Replaced facia boards with AZEK, new gutters, and a new roof. Thanks again Senco!! Excellent job!!Jim O. · Google Review
Owner, Chris, was extremely knowledgeable and very professional. He always responded promptly to our questions and we always felt we were important to him. His crew worked so great together, like they never had to ask each other for anything, they just knew what was next. The job was started earlier than planned and everything was done above and beyond what one would expect. We would, and have, already recommended Senco Home Services to other homeowners and look forward to having him back to replace our old windows. Thank you, Chris, for making this an easy decision for us and for providing quality workmanship. Stephen and Melissa Spinosa in BurlingtonJenna Spinosa · Google Review

Lowell gutter questions
Yes. Fascia and trim repair is part of our gutter work. When a gutter overflows or pulls away, water gets behind it and rots the fascia board, and on Lowell's older houses that wood has often been wet for years. We pull the old gutter, replace the rotted fascia and trim, finish it to match, and hang the new seamless run on solid wood.
The city's permit list names roofing and siding, and we haven't found a Lowell rule that covers gutters on their own, so we don't state one as fact. When gutter work comes with fascia, roofing or siding, we check with the Division of Development Services at City Hall (978-674-4144) before we start.
Not always. Census data puts the median Lowell home at 1942, and some of those houses carry gutters that were sized for a different roof or patched together over the years. A free estimate includes measuring your roof and checking whether the gutters and downspouts can carry what it sheds.
Yes. About a quarter of Lowell's housing units are in two-family and three- and four-unit buildings. A taller building means longer downspouts and more water at each corner, so we size the runs and place the downspouts for the building, then form each run on site to fit.
Sectional gutters come in short pre-cut pieces joined together, and every joint is a spot that can leak. Seamless gutters are formed on site from a continuous piece of aluminum cut to the length of your roofline, so there's nothing to leak along the run. That's why seamless is our standard.
Most seamless gutter projects in our service area run about $3,000 to $5,000, depending on the size of the building, how many linear feet you need, and the material. We'll give you a real number for your building with a free on-site estimate. Start with a free estimate.
